Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of BodyLog (the “App”), operated by evtsoy (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Use of the App

BodyLog is a personal health journaling and tracking tool. You may use it to log health metrics, track medications, and receive AI-generated insights about your own data.

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

2. Not Medical Advice

BodyLog is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The content generated by the App, including AI Insights, Daily Nudges, AI Journal Summaries, and AI Doctor Reports, is provided for informational and personal reference purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any decisions about your health, medications, or treatment. Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in the App.

In case of a medical emergency, call emergency services immediately.

3. Account & Authentication

You may use BodyLog anonymously or by signing in with Apple. If you sign in, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and any access to the App. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access to your account.

You may delete your account at any time using the “Reset All Data” option in Settings, which will also delete all cloud-stored data associated with your account.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

BodyLog offers an optional premium subscription (“BodyLog Premium”) that unlocks additional features. Subscriptions are offered on a monthly or annual basis with a 7-day free trial.

• Billing: Subscriptions are billed through Apple in-app purchases and managed by Apple and RevenueCat. Your Apple ID account will be charged upon confirmation of purchase and at the start of each renewal period.
• Free Trial: The 7-day free trial converts automatically to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation: You can cancel at any time through iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain premium access until then.
• Refunds: Refund requests must be submitted to Apple, as all payments are processed by Apple. We do not control refund decisions.
• Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with reasonable notice. Changes will not affect your current subscription period.

Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat. By subscribing, you also agree to RevenueCat’s Terms of Service.

5. AI Features

AI-powered features (AI Chat, Daily Nudge, AI Journal Summary, AI Doctor Report) are powered by OpenAI and are provided on an “as-is” basis. AI-generated content:

• May be inaccurate, incomplete, or not appropriate for your individual situation.
• Is not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or health advice.
• Should be reviewed critically and discussed with a healthcare professional before acting on it.

We are not liable for any decisions you make based on AI-generated content in the App.

6. Apple HealthKit

BodyLog accesses Apple HealthKit data only with your explicit permission. HealthKit data is used solely to display and log health information within the App. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising or sell it to third parties. HealthKit data is never sent to external servers for any purpose other than AI analysis features you explicitly trigger, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Your Content

All health data, logs, and notes you enter into BodyLog are yours. You retain full ownership of your data. Health data stored locally on your device is never transmitted to us except as described in the Privacy Policy.

By using AI features, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process the health context you submit to generate AI responses. This license is restricted to providing the service and does not allow us to use your data for any other purpose.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the servers or services used by the App.
• Use the App to store or transmit malicious code.
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, text, graphics, icons, and code, is owned by evtsoy and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our prior written consent.

10. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any content in the App.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EVTSOY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR RELIANCE ON ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is located, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
